The "Marze Por Gohar" (Gem land) collection tries to introduce the rich culture and valuable traditions of the Muslim people of Iran.
This collection features tales from different parts of the country, with the dialect of that area alongside Persian language. The illustrations emphasise the natural elements and culture of each specific area relating to that story. However, some of these stories happen in a mythical space, an unknown place and time, like ‘Neverland’.
When the authors of this collection started their project, they kept the difficulties and limitations of their job in mind. Because of a lack of reliable references to validate the accurate pronunciation of different Persian dialects and because the exact origins of some of the stories are unknown, the result are open to potential criticism. "Undoubtedly, reaching a desired destiny requires walking a long road. However, walking a long road always starts with the first step. We took our first step."
