Mr Man from the Garden

This book was created in the Refugee Art Project women's art workshop in the Pop Up Parramatta Artists Studio, Western Sydney.

It was conceived and painted by the sisters, Neda Bahrami (age 14), Parastoo Bahrami (age 18) and Maryam Bahrami (age 8), Madina (age 11) and her mother Yalda Sayer and the facilitators Safdar Ahmed, Susie Nelson and Anjali Vishwanathan.

Mr Man sprang from the vibrant imagination of Maryam Bahrami and quickly became the concept for a children's book.  The fact that it is for the most part made by refugee children - to be read and enjoyed by all children - makes it very special, in our opinion.
