Local Description

This story is a retelling of a fable originally written in “Kalila and Demna” (the early Persian translation of Sanskrit Panchatantra - an ancient book with Indian roots).

The Rabbits inhabit beautiful lush lands with nature abundantly providing and taking care of their livelihood. The Elephants live in lands that dry up. All the ponds and water holes disappear. In search of water the Elephants march to the land of the Rabbits and trample all over it and drinking from its waterholes and ponds. The Rabbits are horrified and at a loss of what to do. One witty Rabbit has a plan which when enacted outsmarts the Elephants and drives them out of the Rabbits' land.
