There is a black thing right in the middle of the forest. What do you think this "black thing" could be? Maybe it's a fruit that fell from a tree. The animals in this book are each curious about something unknown black and find answers to their questions. But does it finally become clear what a "black thing" is?

درست وسط جنگل یک چیز سیاه به چشم می‌خورد. به نظر تو این «چیز سیاه» چه می‌تواند باشد؟ شاید میوه‌ای است که از درخت افتاده. شاید هم یک تکه از آسمان شب کنده شده و به زمین رسیده. پلنگ فکر می‌کند «چیز سیاه» یکی از خال‌های اوست. روباه فکر می‌کند جواهر شاهزاده خانم است.

حیوان‌های این کتاب هر کدام درباره‌ی چیز سیاه ناشناخته‌ای کنجکاو می‌شوند و برای سؤال‌های خود پاسخی می‌یابند. اما آیا سرانجام مشخص می‌شود «چیز سیاه» چیست؟
