In the rainy weather during the Qingming Festival, the boy followed his mother to the fields, and accidentally ran into a little bear...The boy followed the little bear all the way until the latter returned to the mountains and his homeland forest. The story is set in the place where the book's author Shi Lei grew up in - the verdant bamboo forests and green mountaineous landscape of the Sichuan province of China. His encounters with the destruction caused by humans prompted his focus on ecological concerns in his writing, which he hopes will help teach young readers to respect ecological diversity.
