Author Geralda De Vos grew up in Belgium and came to Vietnam in 2017. Passionate about reusing trash, she started picking up lost sandals on the street. She stacked them all on the back of her bicycle and began a shoe collection.

Illustrator Sofia Holt grew up in Sweden. Her father painted pictures and her mother made pottery. She came to Saigon in 2014 and worked as a designer of furniture and useful appliances here. She is currently designing fashion, furniture, illustrating and contributing ideas for a happier and more sustainable world. Wherever she goes, Sofia loves to collect cute "junk" items on the road.
